I’d like something that talks about attachment styles, love languages, why do people act in certain ways in relationships and where does this behavior come from.
*I must say that this would be my first book into this sort of topic and I’ve been overwhelmed by the tons of options.
I looked into Attached, but the reviews said that it portrays the avoidant in a bad lighting, while also being biased towards the anxious attachment. One review also said that people can be categorized into these attachment styles from one relationship to another and that one attachment style is not a general rule (I also experienced this in the past).
So the book that I am looking to read should analyze all this stuff from different perspectives and be unbiased (because that’s the reason I won’t be reading Attached).
Does such a book even exist??

Post Romantic Stress Disorder – John Bradshaw. It’s a great book from a family therapist. He has a lot of other great books.
This one is about compatibility, how things are when we fall in love and later when our relationship has already in a more mature phase.
