I’ve been going down a rabbit hole lately on books about control, manipulation, and hidden power structures.

I’ve read a few that really stuck with me stuff like The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene and another lowkey but powerful one called Trojan by James Lee both had that same feeling of exposing how influence and control actually work beneath the surface.

I’m looking for more books along those lines. The kind that make you think differently about power, people, and what’s really going on behind the scenes.

    Could be fiction or non-fiction.

    What would you recommend?

If you want reality, you’re better off looking at something like Influence by Robert Cialdini. Brandwashed by Martin Lindstrom is a decent one about how advertising manipulates you. Nudge by Richard Thaler or The Elements of Choice by Eric Johnson look at how the structure and presentation of decisions impact decision making.

48 Laws of Power is mildly interesting if you take it with a heavy grain of salt, but the other one looks like conspiracy junk. There is actual evidence based research adjacent to this worth looking at instead.
