I just finished reading Finding Me by Viola Davis and reading it made me feel like I can also make it out of my situation.
Since I am a female and POC. I relate more to other female and POCs than male / white authors.
I also want something that is “real”. By this I mean I don’t want to read surreal stuff, even if it’s fiction.
Do you have recommendations for me?

Have you read Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams? It’s about a twenty-something Black woman in London figuring out life and love (my favourite bit is the group chat with her friends which is called the Corgis)
