You know, the type of book that keeps you in such suspense you just can’t put the book down? Looking for that type of book. what are some of your favs? anything to do with dark shit like murder is totally up my alley lol. Bonus points if the book is scary too. I can absolutely do horror if it leans more that way.
Here are some I’m considering-
The Only One Left – I like the fact it’s described as a “gothic chiller”. I heard Riley Sager is a popular horror author?
The Silent Patient- Ive heard how popular this book is but I’m scared it could be overhyped.
Never Lie- I have never read a Frieda McFadden book but I did see the movie The Housemaid. This seems like a fun author but maybe not too deep. I see Never Lie being recommended a lot on social media
The Girl on the Train- have heard how popular this book was but never read it or saw the movie. Does it live up to the hype?
Hidden Pictures- had no idea this book existed until a few days ago. Seems intriguing.
What do you guys think of these options? Any of them good? I’m scared some may not live up to the hype.

Also, before anybody recommends Gone Girl, I’ve seen the movie a few times and I enjoyed it but right now, I would rather start a book completely blind, knowing close to nothing about it.
Also, probably not Sharp Objects either. I’m dumb and clicked on a post I didn’t realize contained spoilers and accidentally read the whole ending and twists. 🙄 so yeah, that one is ruined for me.
