Hi
I'm in search of books regarding the Age of Sail era, mostly non-fiction (but I am also open for historic novels like the O'Brian books).
I look for great and adventures stories that happened in that time at sea, the life and thoughts of important and interesting figures like Horatio Nelson or the story of a ship and its crew. From ships of war to pirates, traders or expeditions, I just want to learn more about this period.
Some books that come to mind, that are kind of like it in style:
- The Wager (Real story of HMS Wager and how the crew survived the sinking around the cape of good hope)
- Blinds Man's Bluff (Stories of Submarines in the Cold War)
- Amazing Space Stories (Space projects in the Cold War)
Looking forward to your wonderful suggestions!
