Hi there, I recently picked up “Propaganda by Edward Bernays. The book is not a critical examination of the way propaganda is used to manipulate the masses with information on how to spot and combat bad information(as I hoped it would be when I bought it. If anyone knows of such a book I would love some recommendations), but rather is a manual on how to construct propaganda by someone who thought positively about its use. Edward Bernard viewed the public as lesser and himself as a professional who was justified in (manufacturing consent) for his clients ends. This does not mean the book is not a valuable read, it just means a critical lens is required to properly glean the information I want. With that said, does anyone know a book that better fits what I’m searching for?

*Liberalism* and *War and revolution* by Domenico Losurdo both do this to an extent. The latter has a couple chapters on it in the context of historiography.
