I admittedly haven't read a book in many years, but I'd like to pick one up. A mystery that can get my cogs moving with piecing things together sounds fun. I'd like something that rides the line of not too difficult to read, but also doesn't overtly spell things out to the reader. Maybe something around the new adult demographic? I'd also prefer one shot self contained stories over a series with an overarching narrative. And nothing medieval-ish era or future sci-fi.
