Out of all the books I’ve read in the last year, both of these have really impacted me and left me wanting more. I know they have different subject matter entirely but I found myself really captivated by the narrative storytelling. What’s out there that’s similar??

both those books have this dreamy quality where the prose just carries you along like youre floating downstream. i think you might really dig “the seven husbands of evelyn hugo” – it has that same kind of narrative pull where you get completely absorbed in someones internal world. also “circe” by madeline miller does this beautiful thing where the storytelling feels both intimate and mythic at same time

when i was traveling alone through patagonia last year i brought “weather” by jenny offill and it had that same abstract quality where the thoughts just flow into each other like watercolors bleeding together. the way both your books play with time and memory reminded me of that one too. theres something about books that dont follow traditional plot structures that just hits different – they mirror how our actual thoughts work instead of forcing everything into neat boxes
