It's quite obvious that most of the important and critically acclaimed writers come from rich and well educated families with high cultural capital, which allows them to pursuing their artistic ambitions. Maybe it's because of awakening of my class consciousness or something like that, but I'd like to read more books written by people who were not born into upper-class families, no matter if the topic of poor background and class mobility were important part of their work or not.

Very clear examples that I can think of are obviously Albert Camus (born into working class family of French and Spanish ancestry, continued his education thanks to one of his teachers, even though his family wanting him to be a manual worker) and Annie Ernaux (French nobelist who analyzes in her books the history of her own class advancement, which took place in parallel to economic growth after war). I'm deeply interested in similiar cases!
