It doesn’t start out so, but it’s more like a journey. Maybe the Travelling Cat Chronicles

Oof. I’m so sorry. Pet loss is a special kind of hurt. We said goodbye to my (elderly) baby (cat) last March.
This time is for the juicy books. What’s something that’s fun on your TBR? A deep romance? A complex scifi? A great fantasy? I also think it’s a good time to reread beloved books that are just comfortable and familiar.

When your pet dies: a guide to mourning, remembering, and healing. Available on Amazon
So sorry for your loss.

Hey, I’m sorry you’re going through this. It won’t mean much to you, but I’ve gone through this four times. It never gets better, and nothing ever tells you about the next time.
What’s helped me is: choose through your photographed memories with your dog, have them printed out and put them in a photo album. You did the best you could. Focus on all the happy memories and think about them in going forward.
Book recommendations, both sci-fi: (1) The Book of Strange New Things by Michel Faber and (2) Eifelheim by Michael Flynn.

This is a picture book, but Find Momo Everywhere is a really beautiful book about losing a pet but keeping them with you for any age
