Hi everyone,
I am looking for a specific recommendation. I want to read "Mein Kampf" in Spanish, but I am trying to find the most faithful and complete version available.
Many Spanish editions I've encountered are either abridged (like the old 1935 Araluce version) or contain significant translation errors that alter the original meaning. I am looking for an edition that is:
- Unabridged: No omitted chapters or sections.
- Faithful: Closest to the original German text without modern "softening" or censorship of the language used at the time.
- Academic/Critical: Ideally, an edition with historical context or footnotes, though the integrity of the primary text is my priority.
Does anyone know which publisher or translator offers the most reliable Spanish version for a serious historical study?
Thank you!

For academic research you probably want to look at university presses rather than commercial publishers. They usually have better editorial standards and don’t mess with the text for commercial reasons
I’ve seen some decent critical editions from Mexican and Argentinian academic publishers but can’t remember specific names right now. Maybe check what universities in those countries use for their history programs
