The joy of reading

I love reading. And recently I have discovered how special it is to me.

I have quite a lot of books on the TBR pile and some I have had for years, others only for couple of months.

I believe that the book makes itself available to you when you are ready to receive and read it. For example, I have had a book about ancient Egypt for years and I look at it sometimes and think “Will today be the day I read you?” And it never is..

And then! Last Sunday I went to the Rameses II exhibition in London and it reminded me of my fascination with ancient Egypt – its gods, its pharaohs, its ability to be remembered for all time

And then i remembered I have this book and suddenly it’s the right time to read it!

I love reading and its power over me.
