I have been reeling from the hangover of ‘We Used to live here by Marcus Kliewer’ since last one week and would like to read more such enthralling books. It was really interesting to know that it all started as short stories on reddit itself.
Some of the books that have given me similar experience of sitting at the edge of the seat kinda excitement :
Psychological thrillers
-
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski (left me unsettled for days)
-
PUSH by Ashley Audrain
-
We Used to Live Here as mentioned above
Sci–Fi
-
Remebrance of Earth’s Past Trilogy starting with ‘Three Body Problem’ by Liu Cixin
-
Dark Matter by Blake Grouch
-
Project Hail Mary was more heart-warming than a thriller, but definitely a page-turner (Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!)
-
Books similar to the sci-fi movie ‘Predestination’ and the German show ‘Dark’
Crime Thrillers
-
Millenium Trilogy, starting with ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ (inhaled those books within days)
-
’Pretty Girls’ and ‘The Good Daughter’ by Karin Slaughter (The former was very very disturbing )
