Hey all,
I recently finished The Devils by Joe Abercrombie and really enjoyed it.
I then started the First Law Trilogy but struggled to get into it. Whilst I like Joe’s writing style I think the reason I loved The Devils so much is because of the supernatural/monsters aspect.
Any suggestions of what to read next?

Devils was such a solid book man. I had similar experience with First Law – just didn’t grab me the same way even though writing was good
For supernatural stuff maybe try something with more horror elements? I remember reading bunch of books with monsters and demons after getting hooked on that genre. The key is finding authors who balance the supernatural stuff with good character development like Abercrombie does
You might want to look at urban fantasy or dark fantasy sections in bookstore, lot of hidden gems there
