Hello!
This is a bit embarrassing but I'm 23 and I don't think I've ever actually finished a book before. I don't even read for school, I just fake it till I make it. I'm dyslexic, unfortunately, so reading is extremely difficult.
Anyway I want to get into reading mainly because I want to have an excuse to step away from screens and relax. I would say the majority of things I'm interested in is fantasy and romance, although if it's too cheesy I usually find it hard to get into. The last book I remember enjoying was "call me by your name" I almost got through that one heh.
Some help would be greatly appreciated!! Any suggestions would need to be available as audiobooks due to my dyslexia.
Thanks!

Not a recommendation, but I have a few people close to me who are dyslexic that have found that ‘dyslexic friendly’ font on e-readers to be helpful, if you wanted to try physically reading. I’m not sure if there is a specific name across all e-readers or if they have their own versions!
what kinds of other media do you like? like favorite tv shows, movies, video games, etc.?
also just so you know, ereaders like kindle and kobo (including the free kindle phone app and the in-website reader for kobo) allow you to change the font and one of the options is OpenDyslexic, so you could always try that as well and see if it makes reading visually any easier
The Murderbot series is popular on Reddit. It’s very simple and easy to follow but still interesting and fun and I’ve heard the audiobooks are really good as well. The books are fairly short which also helps to follow the story
