I just finished The Silent Patient the other day. I had read The Maidens by the same author (Alex Michaelides) and loved it, idk why it took me so long to read silent patient when it was talked about so much not that long ago, but anyway…
Tore through that book in less than 6 hours. I need something equally as gripping to read next and have no idea where to start.

None of this is True by Lisa Jewell
There are gonna be better suggestions soon but for some reason I read The Silent Patient and Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro at the same time and I thought it was a fabulous pairing despite being different genres and (I think) age markets. There was something tonally similar in the grim twists along the way that really worked for me.
Have you read Silence of the Lambs or Red Dragon? Better than most of the stuff that followed in that “serial killer procedural” sub-genre.
Blindsighted by Karin Slaighter. Psycjological thriller with unexpected twists. Warning that It does have some gore though.
We Used to Live Here Marcus Kliewer
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. She also wrote Sharp Objects & a few others I’m blanking on right now.
Shari LaPena might be another author to check out.
If you want another unreliable narrator: try Nabokov’s Pale Fire or Hanya Yanigahara’s People in the Trees
