Looking for something that really pulls you in and keeps moving. Ive been interested in the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series but heard it is slow moving …how is the series as a whole? The movie is one of my favorites but have heard mixed things as story progresses.
I tend to like stories that feel immersive but still have momentum….strong characters, clear stake and a rewarding payoff. Im good with darker tones or slower elements as long as it feels like it’s building toward something.
Open to fantasy, sci-fi or grounded thrillers….doesn’t matter as long as it’s engaging and not a slog to get through.
What would you recommend? Thank you!

Dungeon Crawler Carl series is non stop
Robin Hobb’s Realm of the Elderlings series. 16 books but broken up in multiple trilogies. Will keep you busy for a while. Excellent writing and characters. It is fantasy genre.
