I'm so tired of every story having no substance except spice recently, and it's so hard to find a PG book for an adult woman to read that keeps me interested.
I'm currently reading the Powerless series which for me has the right kind of romantic tension, plus I can share with my teen daughter who definitely shouldn't be reading spice. I'll take most genres as long as the spice isn't descriptive, I enjoy a 'fade to black' if that is going to happen. Every book out there right now seems like it's a written p*rno to interest the "mature" reader but not all of us want full description of where he puts his thing 😂

God I feel this so hard. I’ve been trying to find good adventure stories that aren’t basically written erotica and it’s like publishers think we can only handle pure fluff or full on smut with nothing in between. The fade to black approach is perfect because you still get the emotional payoff without feeling like you’re reading someone’s private diary
