I'm currently in a production of hadestown, and I'm just obsessed with the musical in general. I NEED a book with the same vibes, including a tragic ending. I want to CRY. I haven't ugly cried since I read The Song Of Achilles a year ago and I need a good depressing read. I do also enjoy the theme of grief and then acceptance in the play. The kind of bittersweet feeling like in we raise our cups and road to hell reprise. I'd love a main character like Orpheus, and a love story like his and Eurydices. Bonus points if it involves Greek mythology, but it doesn't have to. A character like Hermes would also be great, but that's a really hard ask so I'm not expecting anything really.
Overall, I just want a really sad tragic love story, that has a bittersweet ending. Ty!
