I just finished Station 11, which I thought was amazing because of how the whole story weaved together. I've also enjoyed Recursion recently, although not as much. Any recommendations like those books? I like any genre besides horror and romance (a subplot is fine but it shouldn't be the main plot). Thanks!

Also, Octavia Butler is a trailblazer. A black woman writing books in the white male dominated science fiction genre. Her vision of the future has uncanny accuracy. Try Kindred and Parable of the Sowers. Parable of the Sowers, published in 1993, mirrored the timeline and location of 2025 events that happened in Altadena, California.
OCTAVIA E. BUTLER (1947–2006) The renowned author of numerous ground-breaking novels. Recipient of the Locus, Hugo and Nebula awards, and a PEN Lifetime Achievement. In 1995 she became the first science-fiction writer to receive the MacArthur Fellowship ‘Genius Grant’. A pioneer of her genre, her dystopian novels explore myriad themes of Black injustice, women’s rights, global warming and political disparity. Her work is taught in 200+ colleges and universities.
