I just watched project hail Mary, and i absolutely loved The scenes that led up to meeting Rocky, with his ship matching rotation with Mary, and creating that synthetic atmosphere in the tunnel .
I'd like to read a whole book about that haha. Not sure if there's anything like that out there, but I'd specifically like something with a heavy focus on first contact and human & alien collaboration.
I've read and enjoyed a lot of Adrian Thakovsky's work, with Dogs of war being my favourite of his.
I'm currently reading the Expanse, and although I really enjoy the plot, James Corey's writing style isn't hitting for me; I prefer more flowery prose. I'm also on book 2 of Bobiverse, where I'm most enjoying the space exploration. I'm listening to it, so no comment on the prose.
