Hi people,
Need help for books that are catchy and I can keep on reading. I have a record of finishing 1 book a year but want to really start reading as a habit. I read "the housemaid" last year and before that I read "silent patient" and this year start I read "the wrong bride".
I tried reading "the man called ove" last year but that didn't interest me. My brother suggested "kite runner" but I don't feel like reading it.
Help me please.

Stephen King is really great for this. He has his flaws as a writer but he can really write a story. The Stand is one of his classics and hooks you from the first chapter. 11/22/63 might be his best, although it is a slightly slower start. Neither of those are “horror” in the traditional sense, although both can be very tense.
Open Throat [Henry Hoke] is a quick and engaging read.
