Beautyland by Marie-Helener Bertino is about a girl who believes she is an alien, which some have described as a deep dive into what it feels like to have autism/aspbergers.
While not a mental disorder- does show life in a mental hospital in the 1950’s: Icy Sparks by Gwyn Hyman Rubio Is about a young girl in 1950s rural Kentucky that has undiagnosed Tourettes

The stormlight archive. There are POV characters with PTSD, Bipolar disorder, depression and autism. It’s well writen fantasy.

You will LOVE Borderline (and the rest of the trilogy) by Mishell Baker. Main character has borderline personality disorder and lives in a house with other ummmm personalities. The fantasy part is a slow burn but absolutely worth it!
