This is kind of embarrassing. I’ve been doing a lot of reflection on my upbringing in a fundamentalist Christian homeschooling household who also went to a Christian college, and I’ve noticed that there are a lot of gaps in my education. Specifically, I don’t think that I know as much as I should about modern science as I should. I’m looking for suggestions for a clear, interesting science book that goes back to the basics and explains the universe, earth, and evolution. I’ll also accept any general science recommendations. I’m just really looking to re-learn a lot of what I thought I knew about the world around me!
