So mothers day is coming up and i wanna get my mom some books for a self care kit. I remember she was a huge booknerd when i was a kid and she’s the reason why i read so much but she’s gotten more into technology as we’ve both gotten older and i’m hoping this can help her with doomscrolling and doomwatching. I remember she used to read a lot of those harlequin romance books you would buy in grocery stores like Nicholas sparks books but she doesn’t like smut. She is also a huge fan of fantasy as she loves series like harry potter and loves movies like practical magic. She isn’t a huge sci fi fan but she loves star trek and grew up reading the books. She is also a big classical literature fan as she loves jane Austin and bridgerton and even has the books on audio. She’d also a huge history buff too. Any recommendations would help

It could be worth it to throw in a bookstore trip with your self care kit! It might encourage her to pick something out without the additional stress of picking something she’ll actually enjoy, and you can make a day of it, which I know a lot of parents enjoy just as much as any gift. Pair it with a pedicure day or something similar and you both might have some memories that will make the self care kit all the better:)
