I want a non fiction book about how to become better at socializing and make friends but I want a book that is actually effective based on your personal (or someone else's) experience.

I've looked all over the internet and all the social books are praised in a LinkedIn manner (if y'know what I mean) so the personal experience part is important

If you want something that feels more real and less “corporate advice,” *How to Win Friends and Influence People* is still one of the most practical books out there. It’s simple, but the examples make it easy to apply in real life.

Also *The Charisma Myth* by Olivia Fox Cabane is useful because it breaks down social skills in a very actionable way without feeling fake.

If you want something more personal, *Quiet* by Susan Cain isn’t about becoming more social in a traditional sense, but it really helps you understand yourself better and navigate social situations in a way that actually fits you.
