    Hey everyone
Love this sub, love reading. Lately its been the biggest comfort of my daily routine.

Based on this list, which book should i read next? These are my favourite recent readings, that really impacted me.

I want to carry on with the same tone I guess. No particular genre 🙂

    The Unbearable Lightness of Being
    Flowers for Algernon
    Kafka on the Shore
    Maus
    The Four Agreements
    The Yellow Wallpaper
    Come as you are

I am currently almost finishing After Dark by Murakami. Its good but nothing to special.

wow you have really good taste in books! i just finished kafka on the shore few months ago and it completely messed with my head in best way possible

based on your list i think you might really love “the stranger” by camus – it has that same existential weight like unbearable lightness but shorter and hits really hard. also maybe try “never let me go” – it gave me same emotional punch that flowers for algernon did

murakami can be hit or miss sometimes, after dark is definitely one of his more quiet ones compared to kafka

    2. If you liked The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Flowers for Algernon, it sounds like you’re drawn to more introspective, emotionally layered stories. You might enjoy Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. It has that same quiet, reflective tone but stays with you long after you finish it. Stoner by John Williams is another one, very simple on the surface, but incredibly powerful in how it explores an ordinary life. You could also try The Salesman and the Farmer by J. Logan Arnold. It’s different in style, more of a narrative around mindset and life direction, but it still carries that reflective quality and makes you think about choices and purpose in a deeper way.
