I'm looking for a new read. I just started getting into fantasy- started with Throne of Glass (didn't love the writing style so I didn't read the rest of the series), Shield of Sparrows (LOVED IT), all of the ACOTAR series (perfectly good), Rites of the Starling (again, LOVED it), and finally, We Who Will Die. I'm 37% into the book and thinking about DNF'ing it. I'm not a fan of the whole vampire thing and it feels like nothing is really happening. I don't feel a sense of connection with the characters.

That being said, other books I'm currently on the wait list for at the library are: The Song of Achilles, Dire Bound, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, The Nightingale, and Alchemized. These could all take me months until I get my turn to read them.

Are there any other books or completed series you'd reccommend?

Drop We Who Will Die if you’re not feeling it – life’s too short for vampire books that drag. Based on what you loved I’d say look into anything by Robin Hobb, her character work is incredible and you’ll actually care about what happens to them. The Farseer trilogy might be good starting point since it’s completed series and has that emotional depth you seem to enjoy in your favorites
