You all were right- lonesome dove is an amazing novel that I can’t stop thinking about, even a year later.
What I’m looking for is a book like Lonseome dove, and by that I mean a book about a few well written characters going on an epic journey to achieve something, whatever that something is. If it’s another western, then great! I love westerns. But, I will say I think that’s not entirely what drew me to the story. What drew me to Lonesome dove was the character writing plus the goal of getting something done.
