Hi! My daughter’s teacher reads historical fiction books and I’m looking to purchase two of them as part of teacher appreciation week gifts. Anyone have any new release or less common recommendations or favorites since I don’t know what she’s read already? Or worst case I’ll get one back and a gift card for her to buy the second one.

You could go with something like The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah if she hasn’t read it, it’s widely loved and very impactful. If you’re looking for something a bit less common, The Last Stand of a Queen is a strong choice. It focuses more on the emotional and human side of a historical figure rather than just the events, which makes it a meaningful read. Pairing one popular title with one unique pick could make a really thoughtful gift.
