Looking for some recommendations. It's been a while since I've kept track of what's out there so I'm really out of the loop.
I tend towards a variety of fiction: fantasy, sci-fi, some thrillers, a lot of the usual suspects:
Stephen King – most recently read Fairy Tail and loved it
Joe Hill
Thomas Harris (only Silence and Red Dragon)
Read both The Alienist and Angel of Darkness by Carr. Greatly preferred the Alienist.
On the Urban Fantasy side I liked Dresden and Alex Verus, though my interest in those tapered off quite a bit
Sci-fi list is as generic as it comes: Rogue Squadron and the Thrawn trilogy from the old Star Wars EU, Ciaphas Cain from 40K.
Most recent Fantasy read was Mclellan's Powder Mage Trilogy. Grew up reading Wheel of Time up to Winds of Winter, but at this point re-starting that is probably more work than I'm willing to put in.
I have read some Pratchett and Gaiman. Small Gods is alrerady on my list and I've read Reaper Man.
I've read some of the classics: Cervantes, Dumas. I tried reading some of the Arsene Lupin stories but couldn't quite get into them.
I don't tend to like Romance/Romantasy and while I'm not opposed to anything from the new Star Wars EU or 40K libraries, I really only liked the ones I've already mentioned.
If you think you've got something I might enjoy or should look at, let me know. It's greatly appreciatied.
