My book group chooses a topic every few months, and the next topic is one I'm leading, and is about cannibalism. I've so far picked Cannibalism by Bill Schutt, a non-fiction about cannibalism in nature, and Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica, which claims to be horror, but I thought the social commentary was way more pronounced when I read it. I need a third book that can easily be found at a bookstore, and I'm hoping it could be about cannibalism as something ritual or enlightening, or maybe used as a humor mechanic? It can also be cannibalism-adjacent like zombies/vampires, or something metaphorical, etc.. My brook group is a bunch of ladies ranging from ages 40-80, if that helps!
