Looking for something Abbey Jimenez style. Ideally a series. I want to smile, laugh, and escape.
I’ve done most Emily Henry, Katherine Center, Tessa Bailey books.
The romance can even be a subplot. But I do need a love story. Strong female character. Progressive worldview a plus.

Not a series, but Beth O’Leary’s books are great! I have no idea why I had never discovered her before last year.
Annabel Monaghan!! She does a great job! All are good, start anywhere
Carley Fortune (read in order of publication date probably.)
Books by Christina Lauren and Ali Hazlewood too
These following may or may not be what you want:
Falling for Summer series (each one is a different author)
Dream Harbor series by Laurie Gilmore
Moonlight Harbor series by Laurie Gilmore
If you like Great British Bake Off, Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake by Alexis Hall made me laugh out loud, something very few books have made me do.
Small town vibes: Coyote Canyon series by Brenda Novak
Sweeping epic/multiple storylines with historical and current timelines: Beatriz Williams / Winthrop Island series (order is Summer Wives, The Beach at Summerly, Husbands and Lovers, Under the Stars, When You Loved Me)
Set in New Zealand feat. rugby players (the first six books are my absolute favorites): Escape to New Zealand series by Rosalind James
Also if you want a bunch of short but great reads – the 831 Love Stories imprint is amazing!! I’ve read and loved them all
I HAVE THE SERIES YOU NEED!
Actually 2, readers choice! Both by Penny Reid.
Knitting in the City is about a group of friends who are deeply supportive of each other, emotionally mature (most of the time), and their journeys to find love. Tropes in the series are billionaire, body guard, celebrity, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers; something for everyone. Slightly unhinged and overall delightfully fun while still feeling smart and deep.
Winston Brothers is about one of the girls from the KITC series and her 6 brothers living in a small town in Tennessee. Meddling, family, deep sibling, relationships, another celebrity, a couple sexy Park Rangers, a dangerous biker gang, criminal family members, childhood friends. Again, something for everyone. My absolute favorite part about the series is the small town world building. There are so many fun and interesting side characters! I could tell you who the owner of the bakery is, who the owner of the local diner is, which neighbors slept together once and now they hate each other, etc. etc. I genuinely feel like the town of Green Valley Tennessee is real and on my bucket list to visit someday.
If you dive in to knitting in the city, continue with Winston Brothers, and then read the two spinoff series and one spinoff standalone, I think you’re in for 21 books… All 100% worth it in my humble opinion
Lucy Score writes great banter. The Riley Thorne series is silly and fun with a side of steam.
