Do they make baby chapter books?
I have an infant -literally 4 months old and I like reading to him but obviously he doesn’t particularly care what we read currently. We read the usual baby books. It would be nice to find a chapter book with lots of pictures (like basically every page) that we can pick up and read a little bit every day. For example we’re currently reading through his picture Bible. Not because I’m particularly trying to hammer home Bible stories to my baby but because it’s easy to pick up, read 1-2 stories every day and then have something new to read the next day- and not have to pick another book. It’s also nice to not have to read goodnight cuddle bug lane every day, haha.
Any “baby” chapter books you’d recommend?

How about a book of poems, like an illustrated Mother Goose treasury, or A. A. Milne’s children’s poems? (The Winnie the Pooh books would also work for this if you get them as a collection rather than separate books!)
Read him anything you want to read. Read Charlotte’s Web or read a book of folktales. He is bonding to your voice and learning vocal patterns. Just read.
Disney treasuries are great for this!
My baby is 2.5 months and I read to him what I’m reading irrespective of content! Right now we’re reading an Old Hollywood biography. He loves falling asleep in my lap to the sound of my voice and I’m having more fun than if we were reading board books all day (though we sprinkle those in too,!
Judy Moody and Friends series is all 3 chapters long with chapters that take about 5-10 minutes to read and color photos on every page. American Girl Dolls’ Wellie Wishers series each have 5 chapters in them and also have color photos on each page. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for with an infant, but my 3 year old daughter is obsessed with these.
when i was an infant my mother (a lover of classics) read me whatever she was reading—according to her i got an earful of jonathan swift’s 1726 novel “gulliver’s travels” at 2 months old. babies just like your voice!
Not quite what you’re looking for maybe, but wanted to recommend looking for 5 minute story compendiums. Like the kids bible, they’re handy to keep on hand, have nice pictures, etc. There are tons available with different themes. You may want to look at them in person as some I’ve seen are like 1 page poems instead of actual stories. We love the Daniel Tiger 5 minute stories in our house!
Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls is great for that. Short chapters on different women.
I have the illustrated Harry Potter books and read my daughter the first 2 books when she was an infant for this reason. Was very nice for me haha
