I’m going to Barnes & Noble tomorrow because I haven’t read too much outside of Asian media in a while. There is no problem with that but I do want to read more outside of Asian media. I don’t want to say what my favorite female cast is because it might influence recommendations too much. I’m open to everything as long as you think they are amazing.
Ones I am considering, The Broken Earth Trilogy and Middlemarch. I’ll likely get 3 books tomorrow though.

The Daevabad Trilogy (first book City of Brass) is absolutely fantastic, it’s my favorite fantasy series ever. By Shannon Chakraborty. Muslim-normative Middle Eastern inspired world.
I also love the Black Sun trilogy by Rebecca Roanhorse. Set in pre-Columbus indigenous Central America.
The Broken Earth Trilogy is aaaamazing!
Broken Earth Trilogy is excellent, Middlemarch isn’t going to give you what you’re looking for.
You might also like *The Necromancer Chronicles* by Amanda Downum,
*The Adventures of the Athena Club* by Theodora Goss
*Mossa and Pleiti Investigations* by Malka Older
*Discworld* series by Terry Pratchett, especially the Witch-focused ones.
The Locked Tomb (Gideon the Ninth, Harrow the Ninth, and Nona the Ninth).
Broken Earth is an excellent choice, I would also second the person who said Locked Tomb
I also recommend The Masquerade series by Seth Dickinson (first book is The Traitor Baru Cormorant)! the main character is one of my all time favorite female characters
Check out The Lady Astronaut series.
I absolutely adore all the female characters in the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin. The content warnings on that series are no joke so PLEASE look them up and believe them but seeing women not only survive but thrive in a very misogynistic and oppressive world is amazing. Daenerys Targaryen is one of my favorite characters in media ever
