Have a reading challenge prompt here for a novel set mostly at a wedding. I've tried to search for one, but I keep getting buried in romance books, which is unacceptable to me. I don't read that genre, or anything reeking of it (romantasy, romantic suspense), unless forced. I can read horror/paranormal from certain authors–Stephen King, Stephen Graham-Jones, Tanarive Due, Victor Lavalle, Sylvia Moreno-Garcia–those sorts of authors, but otherwise haven't much use for anything else in that realm.
The vast majority of my reading is literary fiction and mystery/thrillers. I'm not adverse to reading sci-fi/fantasy or YA, but those don't strike me as being strong contenders for wedding novels. But what do I know? Anyway, short stories and novellas in all of those genres are entirely acceptable, so recommend away!
I'm hoping to find something I've not read before, so let's clear away two 'wedding' books that I have: Cassandra at the Wedding by Dorothy Baker, and The Guest List by Lucy Foley. Both are excellent examples of the type of books I enjoy.
Thanks for the time, and the suggestions, of course!
