I am looking for VERY specific BWWM romance recommendations and after years of searching I keep getting the same books, wrong pairings, or heroines that completely break immersion for me. Please only recommend books that FULLY fit or come very close.
What I want:
BWWM only (Black woman/white man or any other race other than black)
White MMC must be the main love interest
Strong alpha/protective/possessive MMC energy
MMC who is obsessed with/worships/desires the FMC
FMC who is soft, shy, introverted, awkward, insecure, feminine, homebody-ish, nurturing, emotionally vulnerable, submissive leaning, or gentle
Plus-size/curvy Black FMC preferred (actual plus size, not "curvy" meaning size 8-10)
Ordinary FMCs preferred (not celebrities, influencers, mafia queens, famous singers, billionaire CEOs, etc.)
I want emotional immersion, chemistry, tension, caretaking, protectiveness, body worship, emotional intimacy
I prefer contemporary, paranormal, shifter, monster, or omegaverse over historical
Kindle Unlimited/indie/self-published is completely fine
Lesser-known books/authors are actually preferred
Things I DO NOT want:
Brash/sassy/"takes no shit" FMC stereotypes
Constant quipping/snark every page
Girlboss FMCs
FMC humiliating or overpowering the MMC constantly
Femdom
Historical romance
Mail-order bride plots
Cheating
White FMCs
Black MMCs
MMCs who constantly compare her to white women
Books where the FMC's entire personality is being "strong"
Tiny/petite FMCs labeled as curvy
Romcoms with overly goofy humor
Billionaire romance unless the emotional dynamic REALLY fits
Authors/books I do NOT want recommended:
Talia Hibbert
Pepper Pace
Tiffany Patterson
Blue Saffire
Kenya Wright
Theodora Taylor
– Lanee Lane
I have read every single one of their books.
Also I have read Trolling Knights.
Please only recommend books that are:
Actually real
Currently available to read/buy/borrow somewhere
As close to this vibe as possible
Even partial matches are okay IF the heroine personality and emotional dynamic fit.
I'm just tired of being really into a book but then getting yanked out of the fantasy when authors describe the FMC'S white creamy skin or something like that. And no matter how much I try I am just not attracted to Black MMCs. I have tried for decades to force myself to be but I'm just not. I have read hundreds of books. Last year alone over 300. I just want a book where the fmc reflects me.
