I’m trying to get back into reading but I’m struggling to find new books to read and end up just reading old books I already know I like. I’ve been going to the library but the library is kind of set up in a way that you should already know what you’re looking for, and I get kinda overwhelmed looking at all the titles.
For some help, I love vampire romance books (I’ve been rereading the Sookie Stackhouse novels recently) so any vampire recs I would love. Any supernatural books in general are ok with me, I also really enjoy the Kim Harrison novels hollows novels about a witch. I also love anything with queer fiction (I recently read the heartstopper novels). I am open to graphic novel recommendations as well. I don’t mind things raunchy but I don’t lean towards a lot of heavy smut either, it’s just not something I require in my reading, but I’m also not a total prude either.
I also enjoy a good teenage fantasy or dystopia type novel (I love the hunger games, twilight, divergent, the mortal instruments, that kind of thing).
I really appreciate any help I can get here, I love rereading old novels but I would also like to get into some newer stuff as well. Thanks!

i know not everyone loves lena dunham, but her book famesick was so good that it reminded me that i could read again. well written and easy to fall into. especially if you’re a Girls fan or want to hear someone’s experience with being so specifically in the public eye. as someone who can barely get through a book sometimes, this one was a breeze
Consider Carmilla by J. Sheridan le Fanu. It is said to be one of the inspirations behind Dracula and it has a lot of what you’re looking for – vampires, non-smutty romance, queer. It is far from new, but it holds up even today.
