Prior to last week I’d have told you I’ve never read a book in my life. However, I’ve somehow picked up the first law trilogy and already through 80% of the first book. I’m loving it (the book) and reading in general so much that I’m already thinking about what to pick up next.
I’m aware of criticism of the first law trilogy, and can’t imagine how much I’d enjoy something that’s considered even better.
So, my question is, what’s considered as the best fantasy series, period? With great emphasis on plot.

The LOTR and Earthsea novels are deeply profound explorations of faith and philosophy ‐ LOTR about Catholicism and war, Earthsea about Taoism and mortality. For something a little lighter, try Discworld.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a fun series.
If you like dark and serious, The Dark Tower series.
I’m currently listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series on Audible. I almost passed it up because the title sounded corny, but I’m loving it!
