I’m really in the mood for a lit fic or historical fiction book with strong female friendships as part of the story.
Two books I’ve read in the past year or two that fit this are:
Somebody Else’s Shoes by Jojo Moyes
The Briar Club by Kate Quinn

We do not part by Han Kang.
I read it earlier this year and just loved it, I don’t really know how to talk about it without ruining the plot but it’s about two women who have worked together documenting the tragic history of the island they live on during the Korean War. It’s a little surreal as the lines between dreams and reality tend to blur. It’s such a special novel to me and I’ve thought about it regularly since finishing it about 4 months (and 12 books) ago.
I will note there is some medical grossness to it, nothing gory or unrealistic but part of it takes place in a hospital and some parts made me a tad squeamish.
If you read it I hope you love it!!!
