And before that House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
Also recently watched the first season of True Detective for the first time (what an amazingly mind blowing series)
Having been chasing the high of such books and series for a while and would really love for more such recommendations. Any genre is good as long as it keeps me guessing (would prefer no gore pls)
