Books to get me out of my reading slump

I've been on a reading slump for about four years and soon this fall, I'm going to college and I want to start reading my favorite genre and hope to write my own novel. I am open to any genre now, historical fiction, fantasy, low and high, and dark ones, sci-fi, horror. But hey surprise me with something else.
