Am on bedrest for the next 7 weeks and looking for something uplifting to occupy myself. I don’t read fantasy. I enjoy rom coms (the likes of Katherine Centre), cozy mysteries, and also enjoyed most of Fredrik Backman’s books!
Fellow bed rest person here! I’m about to start All The Beauty in the World: The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Me by Patrick Bringley. Recommended to me by someone else who was recently in a similar situation, it’s a memoir but has a positive effect apparently so looking forward to that one.
If you like rom coms, check out Carley Fortune. I love her books around summer time. You’ve probably already read Emily Henry, but she’s my go to.
Cozy mystery- the Shady Hollow series is a good one. I also loved Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers.
Another good read could be Remarkably Bright Creatures. The adaption just came out too.
