Hello! I was an avid reader growing up, my favorite books were the Hobbit, A Wrinkle In Time, Alice in Wonderland, and I generally enjoyed Dickens, Shakespeare, and two modern writers, Alison Croggon and Juliet Marillier (both I think happen to be linguists in Australia). I have always been particular, I’ll just reread the same books or poetry if I don’t find something I like, and between this, college, early adulthood, and a host of life implosions, I wasn’t reading much at all. Somehow in the last week, I’ve read two books: The Alchemist, and Howl’s Moving Castle. I wish the Alchemist was longer, I’m about to start on the sequel to Howl’s Moving Castle, and I want to maintain my momentum. I love adventure fantasies with a tinge of romance, I hate love triangles and most dark romance, I like some paranormal and horror, and I’m trying to branch away from my comfort YA and Classics. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
First time posting here so please let me know if anything needs changing. Thanks!
