hello!
i'm looking for a book which effectively has the vibe of Vivarium (the film) where it is a pretty typical "liminal horror" narrative except the characters just never really buy into the vibe of their surroundings and feel a lot more like they've truly been plucked out of our world and never adjust to their new surroundings.
that would be as opposed to a liminal horror book where the characters kind of fit the setting in the way they react and buy into it (i.e. there is no antimemetics division, horrorsor, coup de grace)
