It was my bday and someone said they’d give me a book. Now, I cant ask them to gift me a series and asking for a Rs. 200 book is shameful because he is older than me and a collector himself.
I want them to gift me a book that’s good, collectible and can be read again. My genre is suspense and fiction.
Some of my favourite books are : A thousand splendid suns, The bell jar, multiple agatha cristie, john grisham and sidney sheldon books, palace of illusions, among others.
    Help me please!

    1. Since it’s a gift from a collector, I’d probably go for something that feels both meaningful and “worth owning,” not just a quick read. Based on the books you like, The Secret History by Donna Tartt could be a really good choice because it has suspense, strong writing, and the kind of atmosphere people revisit years later. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is another beautiful collectible type book if you enjoy mystery and psychological tension. If you want something emotionally powerful with strong storytelling like A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Book Thief is always worth owning physically. And for something historical and character driven with strong emotional depth, The Last Stand of a Queen would also fit nicely into that kind of collection.
