So I might get hate for this or just people telling me to just stop reading, but I am going to write it anyway.
In the last few years I am reading fewer books a year and I get into reading slumps really often. It’s rare actually for me to read a few books in a row and enjoy them. The reason for that I think is that I have a lot more work now and also I am stressed a lot. And there is TikTok also. I used to be able to read for a full day and now I can barely read for an hour.
And I noticed that if the book takes me too long to read, let’s say 7+ days, or if I start reading it then stop because I don’t have time, I just lose interest. It’s not that I am not liking it or that I don’t want to know what’s going to happen, it’s just that I want something new. And because of that I have started avoiding reading long books, books that are a part of a series, or books that require more effort to read. Which leaves me with romance and mystery or some other quick-paced books. I usually don’t like those genres.
I know this is probably stupid but I just want to know how do you make time for reading when you are busy. And most importantly how do you turn off your brain from stress and real life and enjoy the process.

You would hate the classics then.
