I’ve read and absolutely loved Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which honestly inspired my trip. I’m looking for something Southern. I like Southern gothic but doesn’t have to be. I had my eye on Flannery O’Connor but my library only has the 550 page complete collection of her work which is probably too heavy. (so on that note preferably something under 350ish pages!) Also I’m not into romance and usually not fantasy or sci-fi (but I do love Discworld!)
