I used to read a LOT when I was a kid, I was obsessed with divergent, the hunger games, then school wise I really enjoyed reading and studying 1984. So mostly dystopian but I also enjoyed historical fiction.
After school I stopped reading for a bit then just went into nonfiction – mostly feminist novels like the invisible woman, men who hate women, etc but also enjoyed some economics books since that was my major.
I want to get back into reading so I’ve started Brave New World which I’m loving so far. I would be incredibly thankful for any other recommendations!!

Based on what you have read before, I’d recommend: The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen – this is book of 1 of 3. cant give away a lot without spoilers but I think this is right up your alley
