my friend has never been a huge reader but wants to get into it now and asked for suggestions
i gave her the thursday murder club because i thought she'd like the humour and i had recently finished it, but she's around 3/4 through and has been struggling to want to pick it up, say's she can't follow along with all the characters and trying to solve the mystery is getting tiring
she used to be obsessed with the Greg's dairy series when she was younger and other than that has only read mangas
she says she likes twists and turns, wants to read something fun, exciting or super sad (lol) but she doesn't want to read anything magic/fantasy.
some of her favourite pieces of media are JJK (anime & manga), shameless (US tv show), one spring night (k-drama), your name engraved herein (taiwanese movie), horimiya (anime), strangers from hell (k-drama), move to heaven (k-drama) if that helps
because she hasn't really read any books in the last 10 years i don't know what she likes/doesn't in books specifically and our tastes don't always match up, if anyone has any ideas for recommendations, I'd be grateful :))
